INTRODUCTION:

Ayurveda, the traditional ancient Indian system of medicine, holds out to the world, the promise of a healthy & long life. Ayurveda (a Sanskrit word meaning the 'science" or 'wisdom of life') is an ancient philosophy based on a deep understanding of eternal truths about the human body, mind and spirit. This system of medicine developed over a period of 5000 years encompasses both Preventive & Prescriptive aspects. It consists of a great deal of excellent practical advices for the common man on every aspect of life and living. What is unique to Ayurveda is that while treating a patient, the physician gives importance to his constitution, his environment and diet, there by assuring better chances of sustained relief from symptoms & diseases.
